Training
- There is an annual training programme which is sent to every Chaplaincy Department.
- The courses are accredited by the UK Board of Healthcare Chaplaincy (UKBHC)
- Training will usually take the form of either one-day or two-day events. These will include time for learning, sharing and reflecting.
- Different venues will be used to accommodate chaplains in different parts of the country.
- Early booking is advised as places may be limited on some courses. Only those who have booked in time can be guaranteed free places.
- Training for all the above is only free to members of the NIHCA.
- NIHCA normally facilitates 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training each year.
- Supervisor and Student fees are paid by NIHCA for this course.
- Limited funding may be available to NIHCA members to undertake training offered by other organisations.
- Application should be made in writing to the Director of Training. Specified criteria will need to be met prior to agreement of funding. Please ask for a Grant Application Form.
